Handling money should be simple. Whether paying for coffee, sending money abroad, or settling a bill, users expect quick and secure transactions. That’s exactly what this FinTech, based in the UAE, wanted to deliver — fast and easy online payments for people everywhere, regardless of location or quality of their internet connection.
As their platform saw more users and transactions, the growing demand put pressure on their existing system, and our implementation of CDN was required for their go-live. They needed faster performance, stronger security, and better reliability, with zero downtime during the transition. They chose Revolgy to help them transition to Amazon Web Services (AWS), improving security and speed and providing fast and easy financial transactions.
The FinTech company had originally built its platform on KrakenD, but it was reaching its limits. They decided to move their setup to an AWS-native solution of API Gateway-backed Cloudfront, which would give them more scalability, reliability, and flexibility. But, they needed to solve a few key issues first:
On top of that, the company needed to keep strict compliance requirements and tighten security controls on both API Gateway and Cloudfront, while keeping internal communications private. A single mistake could disrupt transactions and frustrate users, so everything had to be done carefully.
As the company needed a stronger, faster, and more secure cloud system, Revolgy helped rebuild it so it could support more users without issues. The project was split into two phases:
Since security and fault tolerance were among the top priorities, we replaced KrakenD with AWS API Gateway, which improved traffic management and security while keeping services running without interruption. AWS CloudFront with Web Application Firewall (WAF) blocked cyber threats and optimized content delivery, reducing load times and latency for users.
To simplify scaling, we deployed AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) to manage containerized applications with more flexibility. We used Terraform to automate infrastructure management, eliminating manual errors. For security and storage, we leveraged AWS Certificate Manager (ACM), Route 53, and S3 to streamline domain management and protect data.
Beyond implementation, we also provided real-time monitoring, incident response, and cost optimization, to make sure the system not only ran smoothly but continued to improve over time.
Before moving anything, we analyzed security vulnerabilities, performance issues, and architectural risks. We also examined IAM security policies, firewall settings, and API configurations to identify weak points.
Next, we ran performance and stress tests to make sure the system could handle high traffic without breaking. To protect financial transactions, we set up a disaster recovery and backup plan to keep everything running smoothly, even in unexpected situations.
Once we stabilized the foundation, we migrated the company’s infrastructure from KrakenD to AWS API Gateway without interrupting a single transaction.
To reinforce security and reliability, we implemented AWS VPC Link for private communication between internal services. We adjusted CloudFront caching, so content and transactions could load quickly, even in regions with poor internet connectivity.
With the migration complete, we prioritized automation. Using Terraform, we eliminated manual updates, ensuring consistent, secure, and error-free infrastructure changes.
We also set up real-time monitoring and alerts, providing instant visibility into potential issues before they could impact users. To make operations more efficient, we optimized AWS costs, reducing unnecessary expenses while keeping performance high.
By the end of the project, the FinTech company had fully migrated to AWS, without a single service disruption. The new cloud infrastructure is not only more secure and scalable — it’s also faster, more reliable, and built to handle growing demand, even in high-traffic markets.
We implemented a multi-layered security approach that now exceeds compliance standards and protects the platform from cyber threats. Through private internal communication channels, we secured sensitive data, reducing risk exposure and ensuring that every transaction remains fully protected.
We made the platform much faster, particularly in emerging markets where internet connections often struggle. By adjusting content delivery and fine-tuning AWS API Gateway, we significantly cut down waiting times so that transactions happen in seconds, without causing delays for users.
We eliminated manual infrastructure updates by implementing Terraform automation, reducing errors and making for a stable, scalable environment. Real-time monitoring and instant alerts flag potential issues before they reach the users.
Beyond technical upgrades, we also focused on cloud cost optimization. Our work reduced unnecessary infrastructure expenses, making operations more efficient without compromising speed or reliability.
Working with Revolgy helped this FinTech company completely transform its infrastructure. They didn’t just move to AWS — they built a faster, more secure system that scales effortlessly. Now, they can focus on growth and innovation instead of infrastructure issues.
Revolgy helps companies migrate, secure, and scale their cloud infrastructure without downtime.
